OCBC Art Space
Launched in Oct 2012, OCBC Art Space aims to support emerging artists from Singapore and the region with a partner gallery. Programmed as a pop-up exhibition space within its banking hall at its headquarters at 65 Chulia Street, the program is an important platform of engagement for very young and emerging artists who may otherwise not have the opportunity to engage or interact with a gallery. OCBC Art Space has brought together multi-media artist Eugene Soh and Chan Hampe Galleries in its Oct 2013 show, as well as anamorphic artist Teng Yen Ling with Art Seasons Gallery in its Feb 2014 show. Hence, the OCBC Art Space plays an integral role in bringing together the artist and the gallery. OCBC organizes three to four exhibitions per year, and is programmed by Asian Art Options.
